These are a few tenets that need to be kept in mind every day. Every day we need to aim to excel but keeping in mind the ability of our body mind complex. If on days you are unwell, you remain discontent about how much you got done then it is not being wise. We need to be patient. Of course our abilities are limitless. But feverishness will not do the job. Only by relaxing and planning effectively can we hope to achieve. Skill comes through keeping the mind relaxed. And Practice. My T-Shirt right now has a caption – “Train insane or remain the same”.
Day 2 of the Happiness Program which it was today is always a huge blessing. What Sudarshana Kriya can do to participants is unfathomable. One participant spoke of feeling like stresses and tensions were leaving every cell of the body. Another felt he was able to drive energy wherever he wants in his body. A third spoke of finding her mind at total peace for the first time ever. Another spoke of having a delightful experience. Every course is a revelation. The experience of every batch of participants makes the journey feel as new as conducting the first course I ever conducted 6 years ago. I will never get tired of repeating the message in the Happiness Program.
Everyone talks of disruption and innovation. Guruji has been saying almost the same thing for 35 years. In this era of major discontent with status quo, Guruji’s repeated message is refreshingly still new. It is said that to become really good at something, one has to give it at least 10000 hours of training. In an interview PM Modi spoke of his skill at public speaking coming from having addressed crowds every day for 40 years. That adds up to around 10000 days of speaking if you do the math. I must have taught around 40 courses of 20 hours each in the last 6 years. That’s a total of 800 hours. So still miles to go before I sleep.
