Jai Guru Dev

It may seem like a greeting. The literal meaning is Victory to the Master, the Guru

But Gurudev says it’s much more than that. It is the victory of the big mind over the small mind.  

In fact when you contemplate on this meaning you realize how much you can get over the patterns and the programming within you. 

The little child in you that is sometimes defiant, angry, fearful, terrified, attached, entangled – needs loving care. Loving care not from some other person but your own big magnanimous self. Imagine yourself as a loving parent who unconditionally loves this little child in you. This parent does not judge this child. He knows that the child is in the grip of a temporary emotion. In fact he knows also all the circumstances the child has had which have created impressions. He embraces the child in his loving arms. Showers all the love and says I love you as you are. You are welcome to feel this way. Together we are strong. 

And suddenly the little child doesn’t depend on the world for anything she wants. She knows that there is the parent who will always be there for her. The big mind. And in this state the fully united YOU becomes love and emanates love. You become the strength to the whole world. 

You are the big mind.
